‘Tis the season for award nominations, and Taylor Swift snagged four of the recently announced nominees for the 43rd Country Music Awards.
Taylor’s name was called in the following categories: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Fearless, and Music Video of the Year for “Love Story.” Her nomination for Entertainer of the Year is particularly noteworthy since it is the first time a solo female artist has been nominated for the award since Faith Hill received the nomination in 2000.
Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, and George Strait also snagged four nominations apiece.
You can catch the awards show and all the action when it airs on November 11th at 8pm EST on ABC. The event takes place at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Taylor Swift is re-releasing her award-winning CD Fearless on October 27th with six new songs! Every Swift fan is updating his/her Christmas list as we speak!
The re-release will also include a DVD of tour footage, photos, and her song videos, plus the comedy spoof she did with T-Pain at the Country Music Awards earlier this year. There will be plenty of Taylor to go around! Put it on your holiday wishlist.

Clearly shocked and excited, Taylor Swift won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video for her video of “You Belong With Me” at last night’s show. This is the first MTV VMA for Taylor, and a steal in the category dominated by pop and rocks stars, including Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Much to Swift’s dismay, and to a barrage of boos in the audience, Kanye West leapt on stage, took the mic from Taylor and interrupted her acceptance speech to give a nod to Beyonce. Not only was this act unbelievably ghetto, but bizarre considering Beyone wasn’t even nominated in this category. See the clip of the incident here.
A stunned Taylor did get her day in the sun, however. In a show of graciousness and class, Beyonce, who won Video of the Year, called Swift back on stage to finish receiving her award in lieu of making her own remarks. Well done, Beyonce!

Taylor Swift’s August 27th performance at NY’s Madison Square Garden was a dream come true for the 19-year old country superstar. The first time she sang there, Taylor was 12 and taking part in a singing contest during a Knicks halftime show. Clearly, she’s come a long way!
Highlights of her NYC show included a face-off with her fiddle player over a gigantic drum during the song “Should’ve Said No”; Elizabethan costume change during “Love Story”; and an actual waterfall raining down on Taylor during the encore – just another example of Taylor’s pledge to “good clean fun!”
